Teaching Methodology

Candidates who prepare for AIEEE come from different school boards viz., CBSE, Tamilnadu State Board or the ICS. The AIEEE requires you to “apply” concepts of Maths, Physics and Chemistry taught in class 11 and 12. It is highly likely that some of the concepts taught in a board may not be covered to an extent that is required to succeed in the AIEEE. Hence, it is imperative that a student undergoes a quick recap of the key concepts to apply them in the way that the AIEEE will test you.

Our teachers are dedicated and passionate about education. They are subject matter experts who have many years of experience. They will help students prepare for AIEEE in the method that is required to crack this examination. Overview of AIEEE.BE Crash Course Mar-Apr 2011

The AIEEE.BE crash course is a 1 month intensive program which will cover the main concepts tested in Maths, Physics and Chemistry required for the AIEEE.

A typical day will have 6 class room hours - 1.5 hours of coaching in Maths, Physics and Chemistry each followed by a 1.5 hour test at the end of the day. The test will cover the topics taught on the day in all three subjects. This will ensure that the students get enough practice solving AIEEE type questions in each topic.

Each class starts with a 45-60 minute session discussing the problems given in the question paper of the previous day. This is followed by a 45 minute introduction and in-depth teaching of the day’s topic. While most topics will be covered in one session, a few might extend to two to three classes.

This way, each topic is covered in three steps -
1) a theory session,
2) a test with questions similar to AIEEE and
3) a discussion of the questions.

In our view, this is the best method to drill the fundamentals in. Also, it will ensure that a student is adequately equipped to solve questions from that topic in the shortest possible time and clear doubts in concepts, if any. While preparing for an exam such as AIEEE, the stress should be on problem-solving and not on learning the facts. We have built our program to focus on this.

The day ends with a 1.5 hour test covering the day’s portion in Maths, Physics and Chemistry (half an hour each). These questions will be discussed the next day. Tips on how to approach, analyse and solve them quicker, if possible, will also be discussed.

Comprehensive study material is provided for each topic and includes introduction to concepts on the topic, formulae, if any, relevant to the topic and objective type multiple choice tests. The AIEEE.BE Crash course covers each subject in a manner that is adequate to crack that section of the test.

Mathematics

The AIEEE Math Syllabus has 16 units. Topics covered include Sets, Relations & Functions, Permutation & Combination, Sequences & Series, Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Statistics & Probability and Trigonometry.

Physics

The AIEEE Physics Syllabus has 21 units. Topics covered include Physics and Measurement, Kinematics, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Optics and Experimental Skills.

Chemistry

The AIEEE Chemistry Syllabus has 19 key units. Topics covered include States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Hydrogen S - Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals), D – and F – Block Elements, Co-Ordination Compounds and Organic Chemistry.
